Governance Excellence for Not-for-Profits and Social Enterprises
The Institute of Community Directors Australia (ICDA) is an independent social enterprise, dedicated solely to serving our community. As a purpose-built governance network, we cater to the unique needs of not-for-profits and social enterprises.
ICDA fills the gap in practical governance training for board directors and staff within the community sector, including not-for-profit organisations, social enterprises, school councils, sport clubs, committees and local councils. We deliver accredited governance and leadership courses and resources tailored to the community sector’s needs, in response to what you say you want.
From lunch and learns and short courses to certificate programs on good governance for board directors, we cover topics such as leadership, people management, conflict resolution, fundraising and financial management. Our menu includes workshops, self-paced learning, and micro-credentials.
ICDA gathers valuable data about the not-for-profit sector to tell the NFP story to Australia, advocating for the best strategies to help Australian communities thrive.
Stay informed with our two news products: The Community Advocate, providing weekly updates, and Community Director’s Intelligence, offering monthly analyses of community trends.
ICDA is one of a range of social enterprises in the Our Community family, linking you with a fundraising platform, grants database and funding application tools.
